Our REFINISHING procedure is quite similar to the one we use for FINISHING. The process always begins with thorough prep work, then apply numerous coats of POST-CATALYSED sealer/primer, followed by many applications of POST-CATALYSED top coat. Our project refinishing turnaround is quickest among our competitors; a 4-DAY process to transform your kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity, study, or your entertainment unit. Further, we absolutely do NOT use your garage, living room, or any part of your house to refinish your kitchen doors. Your home is NOT a spray booth or a professional workspace and should remain that way.

We begin the refinishing process by marking (labelling) and removing all the doors and drawers’ fronts from cabinet boxes. To ensure that all doors return to their original positions and no unnecessary adjustments needed, we also label the hinges. Doing so makes it much simpler to correctly reinstall all doors once the work is done. Once all doors, drawers’ fronts, and other panels are removed, we proceed to mask the cabinet boxes, countertops, backsplash, appliances, floors, and any exposed surfaces to protect them from dust, debris and overspray.

We do a lot of prep work as it's the foundation of what we do. Cleaning/degreasing, filling small dents/nicks, abrading (sanding), and lastly sealing the substrate are all steps in the process. After completing the initial prep work, we apply many coats of our industrial primer to create a strong base for the final finish. The reason why we prefer using POST-CATALYSED primers is that they offer excellent build (high volume solids), extremely resilient, and have great bonding characteristic.

Once the primer/sealer coating is dry, it is sanded and minor imperfections are addressed at this stage, and finally multiple passes of final top coats are applied. Our top coats- be it clear or solid- are POST-CATALYSED as well. It’s 2-component CV (Conversion Varnish) with solids of up to 60%. What this means is high-build (thick film), high scratch/mar resistance, and over all, much more durable finish than conventional lacquers, not to mention any architectural paints. All sprayed pieces are left to cure in our shop’s resting area for at least 16 hours before they get wrapped up with protective foam padding. Once again, we take all measures to ensure that our hard work is protected during transportation to your house

This step concludes our 4-day refinishing process. All pieces are reinstalled and any final touches are done at this stage. We will walk you through cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure a long-lasting beautiful finish.
